Three Packing Options for the Perfect Move

As soon as you hear the word “moving,” you’re likely already imagining a house filled to the brim with cardboard boxes, packing tape, and messy labels. If you’ve had a lot of moving experiences already, packing up your home might not feel like such an overwhelming task. But if you’re short on time or need a little extra help, there are a few packing options for you to consider.

Three Packing Options for the Perfect Move

  1. Full-Service Packing – Full-service packing, also known as “white glove moving,” is the most inclusive of your three packing options. No matter what you need to move, full-service packing will take care of everything, from antiques and musical instruments to emptying your closets and transporting your heavy furniture. This packing option is best for people who don’t have the time or energy to pack anything themselves.
  1. Partial Packing – Partial packing isn’t all-inclusive, like full-service packing, but it’s a good compromise between the other two packing options. While you might be able to handle most of your packing yourself, partial packing can help you make sure any precious, delicate possessions have been secured with enough cushioning material to prevent any chips, scratches, or damage in transit.
  1. Self-Packing – The last of the three is likely the most familiar of the available packing options. If you choose self-packing, you’ll be filling up all your boxes yourself, without additional assistance. Your movers will only transport your boxes, rather than assisting you with any preparations for the move.
